TURNING POINTS by A.P.J Abdul Kalam

Author = A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Length = 182 pages
Published = 22 June, 2012

Turning point is the book gifted to us by A.P.J Abdul Kalam. It is definitely an inspiring sequel of Wings Of Fire. This book has around all the aspiring chapters of Mr Kalam's life when he was president.
The very first chapter WHEN CAN I SING A SONG OF INDIA? The chapter begins when he ended his term as president of India. The last day of a president.
The belief of his is that of youth is the most powerful resource of the earth, above the earth and under the earth.
The experiences he had in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. His dream was to make our developing country into a developed country before the year 2020.
In one of his chapter, he has maintained about his father Janab Jainuladeen who was the president in the village council. He said a beautiful quote " when the Almighty appoints a person to a position, he takes care of his provision. If a person takes anything beyond that,  it is an illegal gain". As his father never accepted any gift from anyone.
Mr Kalam spoke about the Seven Turning Point and they are explained.
The first one as a scientific assistant at the Aeronautical Development Establishment to Rocket scientist at Now ISRO. The second turning point with entry into Indian Missile Programme. The third one came as he became the scientific advisor to the defence minister and Secretary. The fourth point was nuclear tests in 1998 and we'll the rest I guess it's better to find out as you begin to it.
Another beautiful quote maintained in the book is "I have always believed that cowards never make history, history is created by the people with courage and wisdom. Courage is individual wisdom comes with experience".

My thoughts:
A.P.J Abdul Kalam the eleventh president of India, the recipient of the Bharat Ratna gave us the extraordinary, touching, motivational brief of his life. This book is a must-read as you will get to know a lot about Mr Kalam. Where on this day when we remember him, he was the legend with kind heart and positivity. Gave so much to our country. If A.P.J Abdul Kalam didn't exist, India would have had to invent him. Hats off to sir...
