Diary Of A Young Girl book is a diary written by Anne Frank. From June 1942 to August 1944, Anne kept a diary of her experiences in Amsterdam to the capital of the Netherlands, after the Netherlands fell to Nazis control during World War ll.
Anne has begun her diary talking about her 13th birthday. Her father gifted her a diary. As she believed that paper has more patients than people, she made diary her true friend despite having a lovely family. She addressed her diary as "Kitty". Her family consisted of mother, father and an elder sister named Margot.
In July 1942, Anne's family received a call-up for Margot, which means Margot will either be imprisoned or taken to a concentration camp. Rather sending Margot away they decided to go in hiding. They when into Anne's father's office. There they lived in the Annex for around 2 years. Anne had written about the struggles of food, siren, soldiers, blasts, they faced. This book gives a real view of what it was like to be Jewish and all the things Jewish people cannot do.
My thoughts:
" The Diary Of A Young Girl" is so maturely written by a 13-year-old girl. The ending is so heartbreaking that I cried my eyes out. As while reading it, I know every in and out of Anne. The struggles and fear they faced. This book is long but I personally think that it is worth it but have to be committed to finishing it or else you won't ever be able to finish it. The book is especially moving as the reader knows the Anne will never have the chance to grow up.
